Intercity Acquires Centrality: UK-based MSP Expands Microsoft Capabilities
Intercity, a UK-based Managed Service Provider (MSP), has made a significant move in the technology industry by acquiring Centrality. The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but reports suggest that the combined entity will be valued at £60 million (US$74.9 million).
This acquisition marks the 108th technology M&A deal covered by ChannelE2E and MSSP Alert in 2024. Intercity, founded in 1985 and based in Birmingham, England, specializes in a wide range of services including business mobiles, unified communications, cybersecurity, and IT managed services. The company currently has 297 employees listed on LinkedIn.
On the other hand, Centrality, founded in 1996 and based in Bedfordshire, England, focuses on core infrastructure, managed services, and enterprise cloud solutions. With 89 employees listed on LinkedIn, Centrality’s expertise lies in areas such as Office 365, Microsoft Azure, and modern workplace solutions.
The acquisition will enhance Intercity’s Microsoft capabilities and managed service offerings, creating a company with a total headcount of 325 employees. Centrality’s 100-person workforce will continue in their roles within the combined entity. Additionally, Centrality’s CEO, David Keeling, will join Intercity’s leadership team as a managing director.
